Ingredients
For the Bread:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 ¼ tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt

- 2 tbsp olive oil
For Decoration:
- ½ cup edible flowers (pansies, violets, marigolds, chamomile, etc.)
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)
- 1 tbsp honey (for glaze)
- 1 tbsp water (for glaze)
Instructions
Step 1: Activate the Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast.
Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
Step 2: Prepare the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.
Add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
Mix until a dough forms, then knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
Step 3: First Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise for 1 hour (until doubled in size).
Step 4: Shape the Bread
Punch down the dough and shape it into a round or oval loaf.
Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Step 5: Decorate with Flowers
Lightly brush the surface with water.
Arrange edible flowers and herbs on top.
Gently press them into the dough.
Step 6: Second Rise
Cover with a towel and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Step 7: Bake the Bread
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Step 8: Add a Honey Glaze (Optional)
Mix honey and water, then brush over the warm bread for a slight sheen.
